– White vinegar to remove brown stains on the iron
If you are dealing with particularly encrusted burn marks on the soleplate of the iron, white vinegar is the product to be preferred. Take a soft cloth soaked in white vinegar and gently rub it against the burnt sole until the marks have completely disappeared. Finish with a damp cloth application.
If that doesn’t seem to work, dissolve coarse salt in warm white vinegar , stir, then soak a microfiber cloth in the solution. Then rub the sole until you notice the complete disappearance of the stains. Finally, rinse with a clean cloth moistened with clear water.
– Laundry detergent to remove stains from the iron
This product can be a good alternative if your iron has a non-stick soleplate. Dilute two drops of the detergent in a bowl of lukewarm water , soak a microfiber cloth in it and rub it against the sole. Then dry with a dry cloth.
