– Toothpaste to clean the iron
As surprising as it may seem, toothpaste can indeed be used to disintegrate brown stains from iron plaque. Take a paper towel soaked in the paste and rub it against the burn marks. Focus only on stained areas before wiping with a microfiber cloth. Also be careful not to let the product enter the steam vents, in which case fill the water tank with distilled water then place your iron upright on a used towel. Turn the device on, let it sit on the ironing board for 5 minutes, then remove excess toothpaste by holding the device button down for 20 seconds. Then wipe with a cloth soaked in cold water. Repeat the operation if necessary.
