How do you make a super-effective herbicide yourself?

Weed control does not always have to involve expensive or environmentally harmful industrial products. You can create simple and effective solutions using materials you simply have at home.

This natural herbicide is ideal for sidewalks, patios, and garden edges.

Materials

2 cups white wine vinegar (preferably with an alcohol content of 5% or higher)

1/2 cup fine (or coarse) salt

1 tablespoon liquid dish soap

Instructions

User manual

Put two cups of white vinegar in a spray bottle or large container.

Add half a cup of salt. Stir or shake vigorously to dissolve as much salt as possible in the vinegar.

Add a tablespoon of dish soap. This ingredient ensures that the mixture adheres better to the leaves of the unwanted plants.

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle or hand sprayer. Close the bottle tightly and shake before each use.

Apply the mixture directly to the weeds, preferably on a sunny, windless day. Spray only lightly on the plants you want to remove and avoid plants you want to keep.
